UTET Eligibility Criteria
Qualification, age limit, and paper-wise eligibility requirements for UTET.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have completed Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, or a Bachelor's Degree with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, along with other equivalent qualifications specified by NCTE and UBSE.
Age Limit
UBSE has not prescribed any upper age limit for appearing in UTET. There is also no restriction on the number of attempts a candidate can make.
Paper 1 Eligibility
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), OR Graduation with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Paper 2 Eligibility
Graduation with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed degree, OR Senior Secondary with 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
Nationality
Indian nationals, with domicile preference for certain state-quota recruitment (not for the TET exam itself).
