Short on time but serious about clearing CTET? Here's a structured 60-day plan that balances content coverage, pedagogy, and mock practice.

Week 1-2: Foundation Building

Cover NCERT textbooks for EVS/Science, Mathematics, and Languages (Class I–VIII). Simultaneously start Child Development & Pedagogy — read one theory (Piaget, Vygotsky, Kohlberg) every 2 days.

Week 3-4: Pedagogy Deep Dive

Shift focus to pedagogical issues within each subject — nature of mathematics, language teaching principles, and inclusive education. This is where most marks are won or lost.

Week 5: First Full Syllabus Revision

Revisit everything covered so far using short notes. Take your first full-length mock test at the end of this week and analyze mistakes by subject.

Week 6: Weak Area Sprint

Use your Week 5 mock results to identify your two weakest subjects. Dedicate this week entirely to closing those gaps.

Week 7: Previous Year Papers

Solve at least 8-10 previous year papers under timed conditions. Focus on accuracy first, then speed.

Week 8: Final Revision + Mocks

Take 3-4 full mock tests this week, alternating with quick revision of your notes. Avoid starting any new topic in the last 5 days.

Daily Routine Template

  • Morning (2 hrs): New content / NCERT reading
  • Afternoon (1 hr): Pedagogy notes and theory revision
  • Evening (1 hr): Practice questions or previous papers
  • Weekend: Full mock test + error analysis

Final Tips

  • Don't skip Environmental Studies pedagogy — it's short but high-yield.
  • Revise RTE Act 2009 provisions at least twice in the last two weeks.
  • Sleep well before the exam — CTET rewards accuracy over speed since there's no negative marking.
